Rashid Mayes

Rashid Mayes is a Director at Capital One where he leads three teams responsible for a container orchestration platform, CI/CD for the bank's mobile applications, and network integrity, observability, and performance. In addition to his role as a director, Rashid also serves as an AWS Account Lead, governing several AWS accounts for the bank.

Prior to joining Capital One, Rashid was a Director at Aerospike, the low-latency database company and system of record vendor for the European Central Bank’s new payment settlement solution TIPS. With a 20-year career that has spanned Silicon Valley, NYC, and Washington, DC, Rashid has also served as CTO of the MUES and Startup Riot winning ed-tech company Excelegrade and as a Senior Software Engineer with FusionOne (acq. Synchronoss 40M) and Verdisoft (acq. Yahoo 58M).
